Matte paper is very much like inkjet paper. The only difference is the thickness. Matte paper is thicker than inkjet paper with the same type of extra white surface. Some use matte paper as book cover, magazine cover, greeting cards and etc. Matte paper goes very well with pigment ink. Photo printouts with this match have excellent water resistance and lightfastness.
